Frontiers & Fifties Pre-Show & Sale

Date: April 15, 2010 Time: 7:00 pm-10:00 pm Location: Chambers House Museum (2240 Calder Ave, Beaumont, Entrance on McFaddin between 6th and 7th Streets) Description: Guests can attend a preview party Thursday night, April 15, on the grounds of the Chambers House Museum for some old fashioned 50’s fun. Listen to the jukebox while you enjoy yummy sliders, fries, sodas, and floats. Cruise the various booths to find that special Mid-Century Modern piece and then drive down memory lane as you check out the classic cars on display! Cash bar will be available. Cost: Tickets for the Preview Party are $20.00 per person for members of the Beaumont Heritage Society and $25.00 per person for non-members. Proceeds benefit the Beaumont Heritage Society. Frontiers & Fifties

Frontiers and Fifties Location: Chambers House Museum (2240 Calder Ave, Beaumont, Entrance on McFaddin between 6th and 7th Streets) Date: April 16, 2010 (Show 10:00 am-5:00 pm) April 17, 2010 (Show 10:00 am-4:00 pm) Cost: Free to the public. Description: The Beaumont Heritage Society will host a Mid-Century Modern Show featuring jewelry, furniture, and accessories from the period. Vendors will display their wares on the grounds of the Chambers House Museum on April 16 and April 17, 2010. A display of classic cars will be on also be on hand. Frontiers and Fifties Location: John Jay French Museum (3025 French Road, Beaumont) Date: Saturday, April 17, 2010, (10:00 am-4:00 pm). Cost: Free to the public. Description: In addition to the show at the Chambers House Museum, children’s activities, great food, and period music played by local musicians will be available on the grounds of the John Jay French Museum on Saturday, April 17. Pre-1840’s crafts and skills will be demonstrated by Bevil’s Rangers. Participation in the various activities is welcomed. Description: The Beaumont Heritage Society will host a Mid-Century Modern show featuring textiles, jewelry, glass, and furniture from the period. Vendors will display their wares on the grounds of the Chambers House Museum. In addition to the show at the Chambers House Museum, children activities and great food will be available on the grounds of the John Jay French Museum on Saturday. For an additional charge, guests can attend a preview party Thursday night. Proceeds benefit the Beaumont Heritage Society.

Camp Lookinback

Camp Lookinback is a fun and educational four-day summer camp held on the grounds of the historic John Jay French Museum. Children, ages 6-11, experience another time in Texas history while in a safe and enriching environment. Hands-on activities will be conducted each day. Camp Lookinback is fun for both boys and girls! Session I: July 20-23, 9:00am-12:00pm Session II: July 27-30, 9:00am-12:00 pm Pre-registration is required.
